Belgian Pro League side Zulte Waregem have secured the services of promising Nigerian forward, Emeka Anachunam, on a season-long loan deal from Inspire Sports Academy, with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
The 18-year-old striker caught the eye after arriving at the club in mid-June for trials, impressing with a string of standout performances during pre-season.
Anachunam made an instant impact by netting four goals in a friendly win against PSV 1820, and added another to his tally in a match against Greek side AEK Athens.
“Emeka is a modern-day striker with qualities that are highly sought after,” said a representative from Zulte Waregem’s sports department. “While he still needs time to fully adapt to the league, we’re confident that Essevee provides the right platform for his growth.”
Anachunam’s move underscores Zulte Waregem’s commitment to developing young talent, and the club will be hoping the Nigerian prodigy can build on his early promise throughout the season.
