A Nigerian dancer has become the centre of national attention as she pushes toward completing an extraordinary 150-hour dance marathon in a bold attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest dance session by an individual.

Although her identity has not been officially confirmed, the dancer has already surpassed 96 hours on her feet, dancing tirelessly with the goal of beating the current record of 127 hours, held by India’s Srushti Sudhir Jagtap since June 2023.

The ongoing attempt, streamed via her TikTok page, features the dancer in a series of energetic performances, dressed in various outfits and cheered on by an enthusiastic online and physical audience. She regularly posts updates indicating the number of hours completed and how far she still has to go.

Her tenacity has sparked widespread reactions on social media, with users offering a mix of support, prayers, and comic relief.

“Nawa ooo, if una never tear this Guinness book, una no go rest,” one TikTok user, Fave, joked.

Another supporter, Success Chris, offered encouragement, writing, “You have started well and you will end it well.”

YOUR X BOYFRIEND commented, “96 hours challenge complete, if you know, you know,” referencing the significant milestone already crossed.

Despite the excitement, concerns have also been raised regarding the dancer’s well-being and whether the Guinness World Records will validate the attempt.

“Hope after everything, dem no go say she no win oooo,” remarked UNIQUE_STUDIO AI.

Another user, Nurselavic, offered prayers for her strength and safety: “I hope there will be food and water during the race. The Lord will strengthen all of you, in Jesus’ name, amen.”
