The Ministry of Interior has introduced a new Online Citizenship and Business Management Platform to modernize and streamline government services.
Permanent Secretary Magdalene Ajani announced the initiative on Friday in Abuja, marking a significant step in the ministry’s digital transformation efforts.
Ajani explained that the platform was designed to simplify application processes for citizenship and business-related services while improving efficiency and user experience.
“Members of the public, corporate entities, and other stakeholders are hereby expected to access the platform through the following official channels: Ministry of Interior’s website: https://interior.gov.ng. Direct portal access: https://candb.interior.gov.ng, candb-support@interior.gov.ng for support or inquiries,” she stated.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the platform will handle citizenship applications, business permit processing, and regulations concerning businesses and foreign workers. Ajani emphasized that this initiative aligns with the ministry’s broader reforms to enhance transparency, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
“The ministry remains committed to establishing a more efficient, transparent, and secure framework for citizenship administration, while continuously enhancing service delivery through digital transformation,” she added.
The new system is expected to reduce processing times and provide a more user-friendly experience for applicants and businesses interacting with the ministry.
