The Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani-Bello, has signed the N243 billion 2023 appropriation bill into law.
The budget, which was N5 billion above the N238 billion budget proposal presented to the Niger House of Assembly for consideration.
The News Agency of Nigeria reported that the capital expenditure stands at over N152 billion, while the recurrent expenditure is over N91 billion.
Sani-Bello noted that the proposed budget may be maintained or changed by the incoming administration, however, if maintained, he expressed optimism that the budget would benefit Niger people and up to 90% would bring about a better state.
