The newly appointed Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Jigawa State, Bala Bawa Bodingahas vowed to make the state inhospitable for criminal elements.
Speaking at the NSCDC Command Headquarters in Dutse while presenting suspects arrested for various crimes, Bodinga emphasized his dedication to restoring peace and security throughout the state.
He stressed that those involved in unlawful activities will face serious consequences.
“Within just seven days of assuming duty as the new NSCDC Commandant in Jigawa, the command has apprehended a suspected cattle rustler in Kaugama and seven suspected electricity cable vandals in Gumel Local Government Area,” he revealed.
Issuing a strong warning, he said, “We are fully determined to flush out criminals from their hideouts and ensure they face the full wrath of the law.”
Bodinga further cautioned individuals engaged in criminal acts to either repent or vacate the state entirely.
He also called on residents to collaborate with the corps by sharing reliable information that could lead to the apprehension and prosecution of offenders.
