Napoli have reportedly reached an agreement with Manchester United over the potential loan move of Rasmus Hojlund, which includes an option to buy for €45 million, a clause that could turn into an obligation if specific conditions are met.
According to Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia), a major breakthrough came as Hojlund agreed to the proposed salary package and United showed openness to the loan-plus-option arrangement.
Alfredo Pedullà confirms that the total fee would be around €45 million.
The key twist is that the deal could become mandatory depending on certain performance-related criteria.
While such clauses often hinge on team achievements like Champions League qualification, Sport Mediaset reports that in this case, it will depend on Hojlund reaching a set number of goals and appearances for Napoli.
Hojlund has not featured in Manchester United’s opening two Premier League matches, with summer signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo preferred in the attacking lineup.
Despite the revamped forward options, United are still searching for their first league win, having drawn one and lost one so far.
