Former Nigeria football star, Mutiu Adepoju has commended the appointment of Finidi George as interim head coach of the Super Eagles.
Adepoju congratulated his colleague in their playing days in a state on his Facebook page
Nigeria Football Federation confirmed the appointment of Finidi as interim coach on Tuesday
The Enyimba boss was one of the assistants to former head coach, Jose Peseiro.
The former Ajax player will lead the Super Eagles in the friendlies against Ghana and Mali in Morroco.
Adepoju, a member of the Super Eagles side that won the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations title, congratulated Finidi on his new appointment.
“Just learning that my brother and colleague Finidi George has been appointed interim head coach of Nigeria Super Eagles.
“Big news and massive congratulations from me.
“Here’s wishing you the best of success,” Adepoju wrote
