Musk hails Trump for Israel, Gaza ceasefire deal

Tech mogul, Elon Musk, has publicly praised United States President, Donald Trump, for his role in brokering a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, setting aside their recent political spat to acknowledge Trump’s diplomatic efforts.

Taking to X account, Musk wrote, “Credit where credit is due.

“@realDonaldTrump has successfully resolved several serious conflicts around the world.”

The commendation follows Trump’s announcement that Israel has accepted a 60-day ceasefire proposal in Gaza.

According to Trump, the agreement marks a turning point in efforts to bring the Middle East conflict to an end.

“My Representatives had a long and productive meeting with the Israelis today on Gaza,” Trump noted, emphasizing the progress made during the diplomatic talks.

The exchange comes amid renewed friction between the two high-profile figures.

Earlier this month, Musk openly criticized Trump’s proposed policy bill, triggering a public feud.

The tension escalated further when Trump suggested that the Department of Government Efficiency, an agency Musk once headed, could be repurposed to scrutinize federal contracts involving Musk’s companies.

Speaking to the press on July 1, just hours after a fiery post on Truth Social, Trump hinted that he might direct DOGE to revisit the massive government deals granted to Musk’s enterprises, a move that could signal deeper political and financial implications in the weeks ahead.

Despite their ongoing rift, Musk’s recognition of Trump’s diplomatic success has added a surprising layer to their evolving relationship.
