Mbappé, Neymar, others hail PSG over UCL title win

Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and other former Paris Saint-Germain stars such as Thiago Silva and Lucas Moura have all taken to social media to congratulate the French giants after they secured their first-ever UEFA Champions League title.

PSG made history in emphatic fashion, crushing Inter Milan 5-0 in the final — the largest margin ever recorded in a Champions League final, to become the first French team since Marseille in 1993 to lift Europe’s most prestigious club trophy.

This long-awaited victory marked the realization of PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s ambitious project.

The win also sealed a treble for the club, as Luis Enrique became one of the few managers to claim the feat with two different clubs, having done so previously with Barcelona.

Despite finishing 15th in the league phase, PSG’s season took a dramatic turn after the January arrival of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, whose impact proved vital in their charge to the top.

The celebrations will roll on before PSG shift focus to the upcoming Club World Cup in the United States, with hopes of turning this success into a lasting legacy in European football.

Among the first to celebrate the victory was former talisman Kylian Mbappe, who departed for Real Madrid at the end of the previous season.

On Instagram, he wrote, “The big day has finally arrived. Victory and with the manner of a whole club, congratulations PSG.”

Mbappe will now set his sights on winning the Champions League with Real Madrid, under new manager Xabi Alonso, following the Spanish side’s trophyless season.

Neymar, who joined PSG as part of their star-studded quest for European glory, also shared his delight with a brief but heartfelt post, “Congratulations PSG,” followed by five clapping emojis.

Fluminense defender and former PSG captain Thiago Silva added his voice to the chorus of praise, posting, “What an achievement, Congratulations, PSG.”

And Lucas Moura, who spent several years with the Parisian side, posted, “Congratulations Paris! Champions my brother.”

For PSG, this triumph may be the beginning of a new chapter — one that transforms dreams into a dynasty.
