Maresca clears path for Madueke to leave Chelsea

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has opened the door for winger, Noni Madueke to leave the club this summer, stating that only players committed to staying are part of his plans.

Madueke, who joined Chelsea in the summer of 2023 and is under contract until 2030, may now be heading for an early exit amid growing interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal.

The Gunners are said to have reopened talks over a possible move, with Chelsea reportedly valuing the 23-year-old at £50 million.

The arrival of Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund is also believed to have increased the likelihood of Madueke’s departure.

Addressing the situation, Maresca told reporters, “Noni has been very important for us during this season. Today, again, he has been important.

“But my message to the players and to the club is that I want just players that are happy to be with us. The ones that are not happy, they are free to go.”
