Many injured in fresh Owo attack

The Ondo State Police Command, on Wednesday night, confirmed a shooting incident which left many injured in Owo, Ondo State.

The report of the incident came amid rising insecurity in some parts of the country.

Although details of the attack remain sketchy, some residents of the town claimed to have heard a bomb-like explosion, sending them into a panic.

In a tweet via the official handle of the state command @OndoPoliceNg, the security agency stated, “Tonight, there was a shooting incident at CRANEBURG CONSTRUCTION COMPANY Owo, Policemen are currently at the scene, victims have been taken to Hospital and they are in stable condition”.

Punch Metro that terrorists had in June attacked the St. Francis Catholic church in Owo, killing over 40 worshippers and injuring dozens of parishioners during a Sunday service.
