Jeremy Doku has insisted that Manchester City will keep pushing for the Premier League title despite slipping five points behind Arsenal after a dramatic 3-3 draw with Everton.
The Belgian winger, who struck a crucial late equaliser in the contest, said the squad remains determined not to let their challenge fade, stressing that every point could prove vital in the closing stages of the season.
Speaking to the club’s official website, he suggested the result could still carry importance in the title race and emphasized City’s mentality to keep fighting.
“It hurts, obviously it hurts,” Doku told the media.
“We know how important it is to win those types of games, we did not give up, and we are not going to give up. There are still some games, we are going to fight until the end and at the end we will count the points.”
Manchester City now head into a demanding run of fixtures as the season nears its conclusion, with a meeting against Brentford scheduled for Saturday.
