Manchester City have unveiled their brand-new PUMA away kit for the 2025–26 season, drawing deep inspiration from the club’s roots, specifically their earliest known shirt from 1884.
This launch follows City’s recent announcement of a record-breaking £1 billion, 10-year extension with PUMA, believed to be the most valuable kit deal in Premier League history.
In an official statement shared on Friday via the club’s website, City introduced the historic tribute, “Introducing our 2025/26 PUMA Away kit, a nod to Manchester City’s oldest-known kit.
“The all-black design takes inspiration from a jersey dating back to 1884, when the Club were based in Gorton.
“And 141 years later, that kit is now reimagined with a slick new design, combining metallic details with a black base to create a stunning and special Away jersey.
“It honours Manchester City’s incredible legacy, while also celebrating our exciting future as the Club’s push for top honours domestically and abroad continues.
“The new Away kit will make its debut on pitch when Manchester City play Palermo at the Renzo Barbera Stadium on Saturday 9th August in a pre-season friendly.
“The jersey is available in both Authentic and Replica versions and is available at mancity.com/shop and Manchester City Official Stores at 10% off for Members and Seasoncard holders.
“If buying online, the discount will be automatically applied when logged in with your Member account. Free delivery over £90/US$100/130euros, or visit our Stadium, Arndale, Yas Mall Abu Dhabi or Dubai Mall stores.”
This latest strip blends heritage with innovation, marking another stylish chapter in City’s journey both on and off the pitch.
