Lookman eyes Atalanta exit amid Inter interest – CEO

Atalanta CEO, Luca Percassi, has confirmed that Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman is seeking a move away from the club.

The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with Inter Milan and is said to have already agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri.

Percassi made it clear that Atalanta are open to selling Lookman this summer, but only on their own terms.

“I saw Marotta yesterday at the Lega offices. We have a great relationship, both personally and professionally,” Percassi told Corriere dello Sport.

“In the coming days, we will calmly evaluate the offer we have received and then provide a response.

All I can say is that the timing and value of Atalanta players leaving are decisions made solely by the club.”

Inter Milan’s most recent bid for the Super Eagles star reportedly falls short of Atalanta’s €50 million valuation.

Their opening offer was said to be around €42 million, with an additional €3 million in bonuses.

Lookman, who arrived at the Bergamo-based club from RB Leipzig in 2022, is also believed to have turned down offers from both reigning Serie A champions Napoli and Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.
