Lamine Yamal loses passport after Spain 6-0 win over Turkey

Lamine Yamal almost found himself stuck in Turkey after Spain’s latest World Cup qualifier, having misplaced his passport in the aftermath of their emphatic 6-0 win.

The Barcelona prodigy, 18, had shaken off a minor knock to feature for La Roja, delivering two assists in 73 lively minutes before being substituted.

His performance was flawless on the pitch, but trouble came once the final whistle had blown.

As the squad prepared to depart the Torku Arena in Konya, Yamal suddenly realised he couldn’t find his travel documents.

Clearly frustrated, he was spotted searching through his luggage on the floor of the stadium’s underground car park, though the effort was in vain.

Fortunately for the highly rated youngster, his growing stardom meant the issue was quickly resolved with the help of officials.

Yamal was able to avoid any travel headaches and made it back to Catalonia in time to prepare for Barcelona’s La Liga clash with Valencia on Sunday.
