A woman, Chidinma Obishe, has been ordered to remain in prison custody until July 8, 2025, following a confrontation with officials of the Lagos State taskforce.
She was reportedly apprehended at Ojota for failing to use the pedestrian bridge.
The decision to remand her was made by the Magistrate Court sitting in Bolade, which fixed July 8, 2025, as the date for hearing her case.
The development was revealed in a statement posted on X by the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab.
“Chidinma Obishe resisted arrest when she was apprehended for not using the pedestrian bridge at Ojota. She violently attacked some of our personnel,” Wahab stated.
According to the Commissioner, Obishe’s refusal to comply escalated into a violent altercation, leading to her eventual remand.
