Super Eagles forward, Umar Sadiq, was absent once again as Real Sociedad battled to a 2-2 draw with Espanyol in Sunday’s La Liga clash.

The Nigerian striker, who is yet to make an appearance this season and continues to be linked with a summer exit, watched from the sidelines as his team fought back from two goals down.

Espanyol struck first through Pere Milla in the 10th minute, before Javi Puado doubled the advantage from the penalty spot just before halftime.

Sociedad responded after the restart, with Ander Barrenetxea pulling one back in the 61st minute and Jon Oskarsson completing the comeback eight minutes later.

Despite salvaging a point, Sociedad are still winless after two games, while Espanyol maintained their strong momentum following their opening-day triumph over Atlético Madrid.
