La Liga: Mourinho Urges Real Madrid winger Diomande to improve finishing

Real Madrid manager, José Mourinho, has urged Ivorian winger, Yan Diomande to improve his finishing, saying the youngster needs greater composure and better decision-making in the final third to fulfil his potential.

According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Mourinho made the remarks after Real Madrid’s victory over Sevilla on Sunday, acknowledging the teenager’s promising performances while highlighting areas that require improvement.

“I am very happy with Diomande. He has a lot to work on, and he has many things he needs to improve. He needs to work on his finishing,” Mourinho said.

The Portuguese tactician also stressed the importance of composure when the winger finds himself in promising attacking positions.

“He gets to a lot of dangerous positions, but he needs to learn to relax more and make a better decision in last touch.”

Diomande, 19, has impressed with his movement and ability to get into dangerous areas, demonstrating qualities that could make him an important attacking option for the Spanish giants.

However, Mourinho believes the young forward must become more clinical in front of goal and make better decisions during decisive moments if he is to take his game to the next level.

The coach’s comments suggest that while Diomande’s attacking instincts are encouraging, improving his final touch remains a key priority as he continues his development at Real Madrid.
