Nigerian Afrobeats star, Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has denied reports that his bank accounts were frozen over an alleged court order.
The singer, in a statement issued on Thursday, described the trending claims as baseless and “a calculated attempt to tarnish my name and career.”
A viral story had circulated online suggesting that a European court ordered him to pay €200,000 in damages, which reportedly led to the freezing of his assets.
The news quickly spread across blogs and social media platforms, causing panic among fans and raising questions from industry stakeholders.
Kizz Daniel, however, clarified that he has no pending court case anywhere and urged the public to dismiss the reports.
“There is no truth in these stories. I do not have any such case in court, and none of my accounts have been frozen. This is purely a fabricated lie,” the singer said in the statement.
He further reassured fans and partners of his commitment to his music and brand, adding:
“I want my supporters to know that I remain focused on creating good music. Please disregard this misinformation and continue the journey with me.”
Kizz Daniel, known for hit tracks such as Buga, Woju, and Lie, has consistently topped charts both locally and internationally, earning a strong following within and outside Nigeria.
