Britian’s Monarch, King Charles III and his wife Queen Consort Camilla, on Wednesday unveiled a statue of the late Queen Elizabeth in York

The statue was the first to be installed since the death of Her Majesty, who died on September 8 at her Balmoral Castle residence.

According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, the six-foot-seven-inch-tall statue was completed in August and was created to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. It was supposed to be unveiled in September, but her passing caused a delay.

It is located in a niche on the west front of the York Minster and is said to weigh a total of two tonnes.
