Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), has lauded the defection of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, and former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress, describing the move as a historic political shift for Delta State.

In a reaction posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Wednesday, Keyamo—an influential figure from Delta and a staunch APC loyalist—expressed elation over the development, calling it a breakthrough moment for the party in the state.

“Today is the day the Lord has made in Delta State. Finally, finally Delta is APC!” he declared.

The minister credited the defections to the leadership style of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that the president’s inclusive governance and visionary leadership had transformed the APC into an appealing platform for high-profile political figures.

“Thank you, Mr. President, for your leadership that has attracted the best to our Party,” Keyamo wrote.

He also praised Governor Oborevwori, describing him as a man of vision and courage. Referring to him as “my leader and Governor,” Keyamo commended the governor for what he called a bold and decisive political move.

“Thank you, my leader & Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori for your foresight and courage in taking this bold decision,” he added.
