Kane, Salah hail Tottenham over Europa League trophy win

Bayern Munich forward, Harry Kane and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, have shared their reactions following Tottenham Hotspur’s historic Europa League triumph.

Kane, who departed Tottenham for Bayern Munich a few seasons ago and recently clinched the Bundesliga title with the German champions, watched on as his former club ended a long-standing trophy drought.

Tottenham finally ended a 17-year wait for silverware by edging Premier League rivals Manchester United 1-0 in the UEFA Europa League final at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao.

Brennan Johnson’s decisive strike in the 42nd minute secured Spurs their first European title since 1984.

Interestingly, both Manchester United and Tottenham entered the final languishing near the bottom of the Premier League, in 16th and 17th positions respectively, following underwhelming domestic campaigns.

But with this win, Spurs not only lifted their third Europa League title but also sealed a return to the UEFA Champions League next season.

Kane took to X to send his regards, posting, “Congratulations @SpursOfficial.”

Mohamed Salah also praised Spurs’ manager Ange Postecoglou, writing, “He did say he’d win in his second season. Congratulations!”
