Serie A heavyweights, Inter Milan, have stepped up their pursuit of Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman with a fresh bid.
According to football transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, the Nerazzurri submitted an improved offer totalling €40 million, with an additional €5 million in potential add-ons, but Atalanta have turned it down.
“Inter have presented new bid to Atalanta for Ademola Lookman today.
“Offer worth €40m plus €5m add-ons,” Romano stated on X.
“Atalanta insist on higher fee, no agreement yet between the two clubs at this stage.”
The Bergamo-based club remains firm on their €50 million valuation of the winger, having already knocked back Inter’s initial €40 million proposal.
Lookman is reportedly eager to make the switch to San Siro and has reached an agreement on personal terms with Cristian Chivu’s side.
The 27-year-old forward had an impressive campaign last season, scoring 20 goals and providing seven assists in 40 matches across all competitions for Atalanta.
