Traffic was disrupted on Sunday morning after a fully loaded truck crashed at the Ile-Epo axis on the way to Mile 2, Lagos State.
According to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, the accident occurred when the truck reportedly suffered brake failure and veered off the road, ramming through a barrier before coming to a halt.
The truck, a 20-foot container vehicle, blocked the entire stretch of the road, forcing officials to divert motorists through alternative paths.
Confirming the incident on its official X handle, LASTMA stated, “A loaded 20ft truck had a brake failure and ran through the barrier at Ile-Epo inward Mile 2, covering the entire road. Our personnel are temporarily directing traffic through the walkway while efforts are ongoing for its removal.”
