Galatasaray table third offer for Osimhen

Galatasaray have launched a renewed effort to secure the services of Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, on a permanent basis, submitting a third bid to Serie A champions Napoli.

The Nigerian striker spent the previous season on loan at RAMS Park, where he made a huge impact, and the Istanbul giants are eager to retain his services beyond the loan spell.

Osimhen’s contract includes a €75 million release clause, and Napoli are insistent on receiving the full amount.

Earlier this week, the Italian club reportedly turned down a €70 million proposal from Galatasaray.

In a fresh twist, respected transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that the Turkish side has returned with an improved offer that now matches the release clause.

However, the deal is structured with an immediate €40 million payment and an additional €35 million to be paid in instalments.

“Galatasaray submit new proposal to Napoli for Victor Osimhen after €70m rejected,” Romano wrote on X.

“The Turkish club now offers €75m with €40m immediate payment and €35m in installments, with bank guarantees as key point again. Decision up to Napoli once again.”

Galatasaray Show Determination

To underscore their determination, Galatasaray’s top officials are set to meet with their Napoli counterparts on Saturday (today) to wrap up discussions on the transfer.

Reports revealed that the delegation postponed their return flight to Turkey on Friday in a bid to close the deal.

“We won’t come back without Osimhen,” club director Abdullah Kavukcu told reporters.

Osimhen was prolific for Okan Buruk’s side last season, racking up 37 goals and eight assists in 41 appearances, cementing his status as a fan favourite in Istanbul.
