Galatasaray are on the brink of securing the permanent signing of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, with the final stages of negotiation with Napoli nearing a conclusion.
The Turkish champions and Napoli have reportedly reached an agreement on the financial terms of the transfer, settling on a €75 million release clause.
The structure includes an upfront payment of €40 million, while the remaining €35 million will be paid in 2026.
Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disclosed that Napoli have added a unique condition to the agreement, a €75 million penalty clause that would apply if Osimhen is sold to any Serie A club within the next two years.
The only remaining hurdle is the proposed 20% sell-on clause introduced by Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis in the final phase of the talks. Both clubs are working to resolve this final detail before the move is sealed.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray have reportedly put arrangements in place for Osimhen’s arrival in Istanbul. The final confirmation of the deal is expected early next week.
Turkish football analyst Hakan Gundogar revealed Osimhen’s arrival date, saying preparations have been made for his medical and official unveiling.
“Osimhen will be in Istanbul on Tuesday. Clear information. He will meet with Galatasaray fans on Tuesday,” Gundogar said, as quoted by Haber Sari Kirmizi.
Osimhen, who previously played for LOSC Lille, enjoyed a sensational loan spell at Galatasaray last season, where he found the net 37 times and provided eight assists—key contributions that helped the club secure both the Turkish Super Lig title and the domestic cup.
