Galatasaray reportedly reject Napoli’s demands as Osimhen transfer stalls

Victor Osimhen’s future remains uncertain as Galatasaray have turned down Napoli’s latest transfer demands, leaving the Super Eagles striker in limbo with the new season fast approaching.

The Turkish champions have reportedly backed out of the proposed deal after Napoli insisted on new conditions, including an upfront payment of €40 million (£34m/$44m) and an additional €35 million (£30m/$40.9m) in performance-based add-ons by 2026.

The Serie A side also requested a sell-on clause, terms Galatasaray are unwilling to accept.

Instead, the Istanbul club proposed settling the remaining balance by 2027 and refused to agree to any sell-on provision.

Despite earlier reports from La Repubblica stating that Galatasaray had submitted the necessary bank guarantees to match Napoli’s €75 million (£63m/$82m) valuation, negotiations have hit a wall.

This development has reignited interest from Premier League and Saudi Pro League clubs. Manchester United and Arsenal have been long-time admirers of the 26-year-old forward, while Al-Hilal are also monitoring the situation closely.

Osimhen, who topped the Super Lig scoring charts during his loan spell in Turkey last season, is eager for clarity on his next move before the 2025–26 campaign begins next month.
