Fulham emerged victorious in a thrilling London derby against Brentford, claiming a dramatic 3-2 win after initially surrendering their early advantage.
Raul Jimenez got the ball rolling for the Cottagers with the opening goal, but their lead was short-lived.
Just six minutes later, Bryan Mbeumo struck back for Brentford to restore parity.
Mbeumo then had the chance to push his team in front and reach the 20-goal milestone for the Premier League season, but squandered the opportunity from the penalty spot.
Thankfully for the home side, Yoane Wissa stepped up to edge the Bees ahead before the break.
Yet, in a recurring pattern seen throughout the campaign under Thomas Frank, Brentford’s grip on the game slipped, only this time, the second-half goal surge came from their opponents.
Tom Cairney and Harry Wilson found the net in quick succession, in the 68th and 70th minutes respectively, completing a spirited turnaround for Fulham and dealing a significant blow to Brentford’s European aspirations.
