Four EPL teams to miss European football after Crystal Palace FA Cup win

1 Min Read

Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth, and Fulham have been eliminated from European qualification contention for next season, as Crystal Palace has clinched a Europa League spot by winning the FA Cup.

This outcome is due to the fact that the eighth-placed team will no longer receive a UEFA Conference League berth.

With Palace claiming the FA Cup’s Europa League spot, the second European place from the league will be awarded to the team finishing sixth.

Currently sitting in seventh, Nottingham Forest are set to enter the UEFA Conference League.

However, they remain in the hunt for a top-five finish, which would secure them a Champions League place.

To keep their Champions League hopes alive, Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad must win their remaining two games against West Ham and Chelsea.
