Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are set for a high-stakes quarter-final showdown against Senegal at the ongoing 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Senegal booked their place in the last eight after securing a 2-0 victory over the Democratic Republic of Congo in their final Group C encounter on Thursday.

That result saw the title holders finish as runners-up in the group, behind the Black Satellites of Ghana.

The quarter-final clash, an all-West African duel, will take place next Monday at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. Nigerian time.

This fixture will rekindle a rivalry from the previous edition of the U-20 AFCON, where Senegal edged Nigeria 1-0 in a tightly contested match.

A win in this encounter not only guarantees a place in the semi-finals but also secures qualification for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup set to be hosted in Chile.
