Flying Eagles centre-back, Emmanuel Chukwu, has secured a season-long loan move to Austrian side Wolfsberger AC.
Chukwu makes the switch from Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim, having joined the German outfit in January from Grassrunners Football Club.
The 18-year-old was a key figure for Nigeria at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt, featuring in all six of the Flying Eagles’ matches.
He also converted penalties in shootout victories against Senegal and Egypt.
Chukwu is widely expected to be included in Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Wolfsberger AC already have another Nigerian defender, Chibuike Nwaiwu, on their roster.
