Fire guts Iyabo Ojo’s office in Lagos

Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has revealed that a fire outbreak occurred at her office on the evening of Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

The 47-year-old took to social media late Tuesday night to share the unfortunate incident with her fans and followers, expressing deep gratitude that no one was harmed in the fire.

“This just happened today the 8th of July 2025 around 7pm. My office building caught fire,” she wrote.

In a video posted alongside her message, the aftermath of the fire was visible, burnt furniture, charred walls, and scattered debris filled the scene.

A fire truck from the Lagos State Fire Service was also spotted in the clip.

Acknowledging the efforts of emergency responders and her team, Iyabo said, “Thank you to the Nigerian Fire Service and my staff for salvaging what was left. Thankfully no lives were lost.”

She described the incident as a spiritual challenge, adding, “The devil tested us today but God said no. With God on my side we will bounce back bigger and better.”

Though the actress did not disclose the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage, her post has prompted an outpouring of love and support from her colleagues in the entertainment industry.

Comedian Princess commented, “What is coming is better than what is lost in Jesus’ mighty name no evil will befall you or staff. God is worthy to be praised.”

Actress Gloria Young also shared words of encouragement, writing, “Thank God no lives were lost. You will definitely bounce back.”

Veteran actor Yinka Quadri added, “All glory be to God, just take heart.”

“Jesuuuuu so sorry sis, the Almighty God will come through for you ijmn,” Toyin Adewale wrote in reaction to the news.

Mercy Aigbe, who suffered a similar fate in December last year when her home was razed by fire, commented: “Omg! So sorry.”

As Iyabo Ojo begins to pick up the pieces, her message remains one of resilience and faith.
