Fintiri dissolves Adamawa cabinet on inauguration day

The re-elected Governor of Adamwa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has disbanded his cabinet and relieved other political appointees of their duties on inauguration day.

 

The dissolution of the cabinet was announced in a statement by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, on Monday,

 

Fintiri said, “I appreciate every contribution you have made towards the growth and development of our dear State in the last four years; the team spirit is the result of our good performance that has made Adamawa a model for others.”

 

Fintiri then directed all the affected appointees including chairmen of Boards and parastatals to hand over government property in their custody to the most senior civil servants in their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

 

Those spared by the Governor include political office-holders in statutory Commissions from the directive.

 

He expressed his gratitutde to the affected appointees for their immense contributions to the development of the State, wishing them success in their next endeavours.
