The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has reopened its online recruitment portal starting today, Monday, July 21, 2025, calling on applicants who had earlier begun the process to log in and complete their submissions.
This update was disclosed in a press release issued by the agency on Sunday night.
Applicants had earlier encountered difficulties completing their applications due to disruptions attributed to what the agency described as an overwhelming influx of users, which generated significant public backlash.
The portal, initially launched on Monday, July 14, is being used for the recruitment of personnel into four key paramilitary institutions: the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.
To address the issues, the CDCFIB had announced a temporary shutdown of the portal on July 17, aimed at upgrading its performance and providing a more efficient application process for interested candidates.
“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies and are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process,” the CDCFIB stated.
The Board also extended an apology to all affected applicants, maintaining that the decision to suspend the portal was essential in optimizing its capacity and delivering a smoother, inclusive, and credible recruitment exercise.
“We… are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process,” the CDCFIB reiterated.
