The Federal Capital Territory Authority.on Monday, took action by sealing off the National Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party situated in Abuja’s Zone 5 district.
The enforcement followed the party’s failure to settle its ground rent obligations, a situation that led to the closure of the building.
This development was confirmed to by Lere Olayinka, spokesperson for the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
He said, “FCTA seals PDP Secretariat in Zone 5 Abuja. It was revoked for not paying ground rent.
“Senator Samaila Mamman Kurfi, owner of the property, failed to pay Ground Rent for 28 years.”
