A tragic incident marred Oasis’ ongoing reunion tour on Saturday night after a fan fell to his death during their concert at London’s Wembley Stadium in the United Kingdom.

Emergency services were called to the venue shortly before 10:30 p.m., with the Metropolitan Police confirming that officers and paramedics responded to reports of an injured man.

According to the police, the man, believed to be in his 40s, was discovered with “injuries consistent with a fall” and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the fall or recorded it on their phone to come forward.

In a statement, the iconic Britpop band said, “We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night,” adding their “sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.”

The incident occurred during the group’s fourth performance out of seven scheduled shows at Wembley, part of their first tour in 16 years, which began on July 4 in Cardiff, Wales.

Despite the tragedy, stadium officials have confirmed that Sunday’s concert will proceed as planned.
