Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has expressed delight after Brighton & Hove Albion Women pulled off a dramatic comeback to defeat Liverpool FC Women and reach the FA Cup final.
Brighton overturned a two-goal deficit to win 3-2 in a thrilling semi-final clash held at the BrewDog Stadium on Sunday.
Liverpool had earlier taken control of the contest with goals from Denise O’Sullivan and Beata Olsson, putting them in a strong position.
However, Brighton responded through Manuela Vanegas and Madison Haley to level the match and set up a tense finish.
Deep into stoppage time, Nadine Noordam struck the decisive goal, sealing a memorable comeback and sending Brighton through to the final.
After the match, Super Falcons goalkeeper Nnadozie, who has kept clean sheets in her previous two FA Cup appearances for Brighton, took to X to celebrate the achievement, saying, “We are going to Wembley. Straight into the FA Cup finals. Super proud of this team. I give God the glory,” Nnadozie wrote on X.
Brighton will now meet Manchester City Women in the final at Wembley Stadium FA Cup Final.
