Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress.
Lawal made this known in a statement personally signed by him, which he addressed to the chairman of the APC in Bangshika Ward, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
In the letter, Lawal stated that he would reveal his next political destination at the appropriate time.
“I write to formally notify you of my resignation from the All Progressives Congress, APC,” he said.
“In due course, I will make public my current political affiliation, where I plan to join compatriots to work towards making Nigeria a better living place for all citizens. This resignation takes immediate effect.
“Please remain blessed and extend my warm regards to members of your party,” he added.
Babachir Lawal served as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation under former President Muhammadu Buhari during his first term in office.
