Former Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey, has been hit with two additional rape charges, according to Mirror reports.
The 32-year-old had earlier pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape and one charge of sexual assault at Southwark Crown Court in September.
However, the Ghanaian international, now with Spanish side Villarreal after leaving Arsenal last year, is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 13, over the new allegations.
In a statement, the Crown Prosecution Service said, “These new charges relate to a separate report of non-recent offences in 2020 involving one additional woman and follow a new investigation by the Metropolitan Police. These allegations were first reported in August 2025.”
The earlier five rape charges and one sexual assault charge are alleged to have occurred between 2021 and 2022, during the period Partey was playing regularly for Arsenal.
He departed the Premier League club on June 30 at the end of his contract, and was charged four days later.
Partey, who remains on bail, is scheduled to stand trial in November.
The former Atletico Madrid midfielder has also been permitted to continue his football career, including representing Ghana at international level.
