Fulham’s aspirations for European qualification took another hit on Saturday as they suffered their fourth defeat in five Premier League outings, falling 3-1 to Everton at Craven Cottage. The visitors overturned a first-half deficit to claim all three points.
Despite initially taking the lead through Raul Jimenez’s commanding header, Fulham were pegged back just before halftime when Vitaliy Mykolenko’s effort from the edge of the box took a deflection and found the net.
The second half saw the momentum shift decisively in Everton’s favour. Quickfire strikes from Michael Keane and Beto, who capitalized on a mistake by goalkeeper Bernd Leno, secured the win for the Toffees and significantly dented Fulham’s European ambitions.
With 51 points from 36 games, Fulham remain in 11th place, trailing eighth-placed Brentford by four points. Everton, meanwhile, moved up to 13th on the table with 42 points.
