The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission has fiexed October 5, 2024 to hold local government election.
The chairman of ENSIEC, Christian Ngwu, made this known in a statement made available to the press.
He advised registered political parties and the general public to obtain election guidelines and other details from the ENSIEC headquarters, according to Peoples Gazette.
He reiterated that the local government poll will be conducted to fill 17 chairmanship seats and 260 councillorship positions.
“The election will be conducted to fill 17 chairmanship seats and 260 ward councillorship positions across the state,” the statement said.
