Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, declaring her support for his re-election bid.
She made this known during a session with media personality Daddy Freeze, where she defended the president’s policies and reforms.
Badmus said some Nigerians were unwilling to acknowledge Tinubu’s achievements, particularly in the areas of taxation, education and student financing through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
She said, “Tinubu has done a lot for Nigeria. Some Nigerians don’t like the truth, especially when it concerns President Tinubu. He has introduced so many good reforms that Nigerians are now benefiting from, including the tax reforms and NELFUND.
“Tinubu has done well in the education sector and should be applauded for that. That’s why I’m campaigning and voting for him, and he will win.
“Some people think elections are won on social media. Being popular on social media does not guarantee that you will win an election. The grassroots are the key, and Tinubu has them.”
Badmus is also a political appointee, serving as Special Assistant on Social Events and Public Hearing to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.
She confirmed the appointment in May 2024 after receiving her appointment letter from the Speaker.
She was also appointed a member of the Creative Arts Directorate of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2023 general election.
