Sevilla head coach, Matías Almeyda, has confirmed that Nigerian international, Chidera Ejuke, is fit and ready for the club’s upcoming league opener against Bilbao.
The team is set to travel to San Mamés for Sunday’s fixture, marking the start of their league campaign.
Ejuke had suffered a thigh injury during training last month, which initially raised concerns about a long absence from the pitch.
However, the Nigerian winger has returned to full training this week, boosting Sevilla’s attacking options.
Speaking ahead of the game, Almeyda confirmed that the player will be part of the matchday squad, saying, “Pedrosa, Ejuke, and Idumbo will be available. Tomorrow I’ll announce the players who will travel, and I always like them to know first,” according to the club’s official website.
