Egyptian football powerhouse, Zamalek, has parted ways with their head coach, Jose Peseiro, following a disappointing 2-2 draw against National Bank.

The club confirmed the Portuguese tactician’s departure on its official website, stating, “Zamalek and Jose Peseiro agree to end the relationship by mutual consent. We wish the best in future.”

Peseiro, a former Super Eagles boss, took charge of Zamalek in February but struggled to meet expectations during his short stint.

Under his leadership, the White Knights were knocked out of the CAF Confederation Cup in the quarter-finals by South Africa’s Stellenbosch.

In the Egyptian Premier League, they currently trail Pyramids FC and Al Ahly in third place.

Across 17 games in all competitions, the 65-year-old managed just seven wins, eight draws, and suffered two defeats.
