The Labour Party has said that there is no reduction in the N30 million fee for nomination and expression of interest forms for Edo State governorship race.

This came on the premise of some aspirants in the state under the party agitating for a slash, stating that the forms for Imo State was N15 million.

Recall that Dr Egbe Omorodion, one of the aspirants had called on the party to slash the form fee by 50 per cent.

He said, “Edo people may be denied the opportunity of my dream and desires to take the state to the next level.”

“Yes, other aspirants are also dissatisfied with the fee. We will be meeting on Monday.”

He explained that that the state could be robbed of imminently qualified persons if the fee is not reduced.

The party, however, stated that “the National Leadership of the Labour Party has said the N30m charged for nomination and expression of interest forms for the Edo State governorship election will not be reduced.”
