Chelsea midfielder, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, has expressed his readiness to compete for a starting role at the club, emphasizing his determination to earn his place on the pitch.
The 25-year-old joined the Blues from Leicester City last summer and has steadily made his mark, often coming off the bench to make an impact.
Currently on tour in the United States with Chelsea for their Club World Cup campaign, Dewsbury-Hall is relishing the challenge of fighting for a spot in Enzo Maresca’s starting lineup.
“It’s part and parcel of the game of being at a massive club,” he said. “You know there will be competition, but I thrive on that. If it were easy, anyone would play for this club.”
Following Chelsea’s win over ES Tunis, the midfielder also praised the team’s progress, as they gear up to face Benfica in the round of 16.
“We got the result we needed and it’s nice to have been able to help the team,” he added.
