Following the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Ali Bukar Dalori has officially stepped into the role of acting national chairman.

During his first address to the party’s National Working Committee on Monday, Dalori expressed his readiness to serve, stating that he had accepted the role with “humility, responsibility, and loyalty.”

He explained that his emergence followed Ganduje’s decision to step down and was in line with a directive from President Bola Tinubu.

“We are all aware of the significant contributions Dr Ganduje made during his tenure,” Dalori said.

“Since his assumption of office in August 2023, he provided our party with experienced leadership, steadfast commitment, and a clear sense of direction.

“On behalf of the entire APC family, I express our heartfelt gratitude to him and wish him full recovery and strength as he focuses on his health and personal well-being.”

Dalori emphasized that his leadership would be guided by “transparency, inclusiveness, and unity of purpose,” stressing that his new position should not be seen as a personal triumph.

“This is a period for consolidation,  not conflict. For maturity ,  not division. And for vision ,  not personal ambition,” he said.

Looking ahead to the 2027 general election, Dalori called on members of the APC to reinforce the party’s internal structures and reconnect with the grassroots.

He also restated his commitment to President Tinubu’s administration, describing the Renewed Hope Agenda as a strategic framework for tackling the country’s economic, security, and unity-related challenges.

“The APC remains the political vehicle to drive this transformation, and we will stand by the president in full loyalty and partnership,” he said.
