Popular Nigerian-Romanian broadcaster and media personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, widely known as Daddy Freeze, has been unveiled as the new co-host of the widely followed podcast, The Honest Bunch.

This development was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by content creator @onejoblessboy, who announced, “Daddy Freeze is now a co-host on The Honest Bunch podcast.”

Daddy Freeze steps into the role following the departure of Chinedu Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu Wazobia, who exited the show amid public controversy linked to social commentator Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.

The controversy stemmed from an episode of the podcast featuring reality TV star Deeone, who alleged that VeryDarkMan had homosexual inclinations.

The episode stirred significant backlash, with Nedu becoming the focal point of online criticism and heated social media exchanges.

In a statement released shortly after his exit, Nedu reflected on his time as host and cited the growing personal toll as a major reason for stepping down.

“The past week has brought a lot into perspective for me. Hosting The Honest Bunch Podcast has been an incredible journey—one built on open conversations, bold perspectives, and the willingness to tackle difficult topics,” he stated.

He continued, “But with that responsibility has come an overwhelming level of scrutiny, antagonism, and unfounded accusations that have now begun to take a personal toll.”

Explaining his decision further, Nedu added: “In light of recent events, I have made the difficult decision to step away from the podcast. This is not a decision I take lightly, but one I believe is necessary—for my peace of mind, for my family, and for the integrity of the show itself.”

He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to meaningful discourse: “I have always been committed to honest conversations, but when those conversations lead to relentless attacks and misrepresentation, it becomes clear that stepping back is the best path forward.”
