Antonio Conte has reportedly chosen to remain at Napoli following a decisive meeting with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis, according to reports from Italy.

Despite securing the Serie A title in his first season, the coach had been contemplating a departure for several months, voicing dissatisfaction over a number of unresolved issues.

However, mounting pressure from players, supporters, his family, and backroom staff led Conte to reconsider.

On Tuesday, he held a crucial sit-down with De Laurentiis to revisit his concerns and clarify his demands.

Sky Sport Italia transfer expert, Gianluca Di Marzio, reported that the talks were fruitful, with Conte now committing to stay at the club. He is even believed to be open to the idea of signing a new deal.

One of the key turning points was the expected arrival of Kevin De Bruyne, a free agent departing Manchester City, a major signal of Napoli’s intent. Further investments in the squad have also been promised.

Conte’s primary concern centered around the long-standing issues with Napoli’s training facilities, which have been problematic since Rafa Benitez’s tenure.

Napoli had reportedly prepared for Conte’s potential exit by targeting Massimiliano Allegri as his replacement, but the former Juventus boss is now on the verge of signing a three-year deal with AC Milan.
