Congo head coach, Barthelemy Ngatsono, has urged his players to deliver their best performance if they hope to secure a positive result against Nigeria.
The Congolese side, still in pursuit of their first win at the 2024 African Nations Championship, currently sit second in Group D with two points from two matches.
A victory over Nigeria is crucial to confirm their place in the quarter-finals.
Nigeria, meanwhile, will be playing for pride after failing to register a win in their opening two fixtures.
Ngatsono acknowledged the challenge posed by the Home Eagles but stressed the need for focus.
“We respect Nigeria, but they are like a wounded lion. They will play with pride, so we must be sharper and stay focused,” he told CAFonline.
The crucial Group D clash is set for Tuesday at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
